Grenade Gloves was founded by brothers Matt and Danny Kass in 2001. The company is based in Portland, Oregon and manufactures snowboarding gloves, outerwear, streetwear, accessories and a newly launched line of footwear, which debuted in Spring, 2009. The company has a number of professional and amateur snowboard and skateboarding athletes on its roster, including Scotty Lago, Dustin Craven, Louie Vito and Sammy Luebke among other high profile riders. Three members of the 2010 US Snowboarding men's halfpipe team are Grenade athletes: Scotty Lago, Louie Vito and Greg Bretz.
